Plans are in place for a brand-new school building, scheduled to open in 2028, which will provide state-of-the-art learning environments, enhanced facilities and an exceptional setting for future generations of students. Admission Policy

Ellesmere Port Catholic High School is an academy. Admission arrangements for Year 6 pupils transferring to Year 7 are administered in partnership with Cheshire West and Chester Council. Parents and carers should follow the local authority admissions process when applying for a secondary school place.

Admission to year 7 at normal transfer from year 6

Applications for Year 7 places should be made through the Local Authority by 31st October in the year preceding admission. Full details of the application process can be found on the Cheshire West and Chester Council School Admissions website.

We work closely with our partner primary schools and other local schools to ensure that the transition from primary to secondary education is as smooth and successful as possible. During the summer term before joining us, students have the opportunity to participate in a range of transition activities designed to help them become familiar with the school, meet staff and make new friends.
